I'm a novice to posting and having material out there. This post here is pretty informative and gives me much more insight concerning creating an effect when writing comments. Please continue your posts and I will continue to go through all of them.

What *is* on the other side of this lamination? A more conventional (frontside) view of a standing tiger? Surely not the expected prayer...

It might help to explain the strangeness -- or of course it might just add to it. Looks from visible fragments as if it might be yet another clipping, perhaps from a magazine. Is it credit card sized?

The tarot suggestion would tally with one possibility that I considered: some kind of talisman, which would be understandable. And do we really know that it was lost accidentally? And that it is unique? -- or was it scattered around in other public areas?

Hi Dave, Thanks for the blog about my show. It's awful hot for daytime busking lately so I'm taking it easy. In answer to the other comment, my truck got confiscated by the Swiss because it didn't match their high standards for vehicles. They did give it back once I got a few things fixed and agreed never to drive it in Switzerland anymore.

So, you still carrying it around with you? :-) Dave, that is the funniest blog entry I've ever read! Remarks are quite cunning as well.
I almost doubted that this book existed, I thought it was someone being quite clever making it up. How wonderful that this mystery was solved! Amazing.
I still can't help but wonder why someone was carrying that photo around, unless it was part of a self made tarot deck. I've known folk who have created their own. I wonder what meaning the person attributed to that card, if that was indeed the case?

Yes, he's obviously a male, but he's also clearly not striped specifically on the aforementioned appendage. That part of a male tiger's anatomy is generally plain -- white (as here) or orange.

Sad to admit, but I know this picture well, as it is indeed memorable... The tiger is in the act of spraying urine (=marking territory) and this picture appears on p.71 of Valmik Thapar's finely illustrated book "The Tiger's Destiny" (Kyle Cathie Ltd, 1992); it was taken at the Ranthambhore National Park in India. Thought you might appreciate the provenance of this most unexpected image :)

If Boston had a face, I'd slap it. I got a $40 ticket yesterday for street sweeping, though my car was saved from incarceration by a caring student who ran back into the school to tell me. I got one today in the same spot for being more than a foot from the curb. Do the cops carry rulers these days?

What gets me most is that this all happened in Southie, the land of double and wrong-way parking. Where else can one park their car in the middle of the street, against traffic, and not get a citation? The answer is only in Southie. The place makes me sick. "Go Southie!" How about "Go $#%& yourself."

[...] As you may recall, El Pelon, the famed Fenway taqueria, burned to the ground last January. Being a big fan, I wrote this blog post which included a quote that found its way onto the cover of the Dig: If this were a movie, I’d be out on Peterborough St in the pouring rain looking to the heavens screaming, “Why, God? Why?!!!” [...]
