Paula Gould Is One Hot PR Babe
My good friend Paula Gould is a nominee for PR Hottie at Valleywag.com. While I don’t exactly know what the competition is or what her potential win could mean, I wish her a lot of luck. Here she is: (WARNING: keyboard drool shield is recommended.)
Paula is the PR director at tagworld.com, a cool social networking site up against the MySpace empire. See her description of what Tagworld offers in this Wall Street Journal article. In addition to her work for Tagworld, she has worked with bands, movie productions and is an all around cool woman. Did I mention that we are both from Hull, MA?? Go HULL!!!

oh hi Dave Alpert,
“Social smoker” did in fact lead me here! I’m terribly impressed. “I” am the gal you chatted with at the cafe yesterday, by the way. Who didn’t know how to ignite her zippo, which she then promptly lost somewhere.
But and so: Nice blog, Dave! I pursued the wordpress option and am in the process of constructing my own little electronic word-haven.
Cheers to days!

Excuse me, but isn’t Paula from Hanson? They are both considered “South Shore”, but one place actually is on a shore (Hull) while the other could be obliterated from the planet and nobody would be able to find the hole, because they have no idea where the place is (Hanson). Or was she a military baby and had to move around a lot?

Dude,
In my book, Hanson is a band with 3 brothers that sings “MMbop”. Paula’s folks live in Hull. She stays there when she’s in town. She hangs out at the gut. PAULA IS FROM HULL!

Oh, I love that band of Hanson brothers!

Paula is hotter than the Hanson brothers.

Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence.
Hanson collectively has blonder hair and therefore is/was cuter (or at least were until puberty happened). As a child, I believe I could have been mistaken for a Hanson brother.
To settle the debate, yes, I split my time between Hanson (school year) and Hull (summers) as a youth. Since the inception of the commuter rail extension Hanson has become somewhat of a burgeoning metropolis. Not quite the one street light cranberry bog town it was in my childhood, though likely still very quaint.
Dave’s correct. My family has since permanently moved to Hull. And I do in fact take the Ferry from Logan to Pemberton Point when I fly home. Hull also plays host to our Annual Family Wiffle Ball Tournament. And the Hull Cemetery serves as a virtual tour of my family ancestry. I do hang at the Gut and know every island in the harbor.
No I am not a military baby.

the picture isn’t doing justice if you meet her in person… she’s got lots of bling bling… and yes… she is one hot PR babe… and a “Hull” of a girl…

[…] You may recall from my previous post, that my friend Paula is up for some crazy PR babe award. She is running neck and neck with the PR director from Yahoo! (albeit losing by a slim margin). Help a sista out and give Paula your vote. It only takes a Second. Go HERE and help me help her roll her way “into the semi’s… dios mio, mang!” (to quote The Big Lebowski once again) […]

I am infact paula’s big little brother. She is from Hanson where part of her family still resides. It is quite an insult to suggest she is from a trashy town such as Hull.

Well Rob, last I checked, the rest of your family “loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly”… HULL that is!
ps-good to meet you…

With the new anti-terrorism plan for the Harbor, once attacked, Hull (and only Hull) will be wiped from the map and finally Hingham will lose it’s blue collar appendage forEVER!!! Muuuuwhahahahaha. I will then move back to Hanson and even with my hot babe pr status, will still not make the cheerleading squad. Sigh.
